About Us

Hamilton Workingmen's Club was established in 1955, and in the last two decades has experienced significant growth with more than 7000 members, to become one of the Premier Chartered Clubs in New Zealand. The Club provides amenities such as a restaurant, bars, wholesale, gaming lounge, live entertainment and courtesy coaches along with a wide range of activities, in an atmosphere where members can meet and enjoy one another’s companionship.

The Executive Committee and Club Manager have clear lines of responsibility when dealing with governance and management issues, and the 75 staff place a strong emphasis on training and providing quality service.

The Club is a non-profit organisation, but is effectively run as a true commercial operation. While Club facilities are primarily for use by members and Affiliated Club Members, non-members are welcome to enquire about venue use for private functions. The Club warmly invites new member enquiries and questions from those interested in joining the Club.
